Making a Paravant 1/6 Scale

A Paravant after the book 'Maison Miniature` by Lea Frisoni
I got the pattern for this sidescreen out of this great book. I cant share it since it's not mine but i highly recoment this book for everyone who wants to do miniature-art.

This is for the Inlays and will be needed later.

Chopsticks.

 After a coat of Gesso.

Unfortanatly there are no more pics, but i just paintet it gold. For the inlays i covered a sheet of paper with spray glue and layed a thin cotton fabric over it, then cut it back to A4 and just printet out the pattern you'll see on the bottom. This works really great but you have to watch out that everything stays very thin. After that you can cut it out with 0,5 cm seam allowance and glue it on to the cardboard cut out earlier. Then you glue it to the gold painted paravant and et voilà

For the top part

From the Future to the Past

A Window Display fo the Wiener Haarfundus

                                                              My dear Fans and Visitors!

I am welcoming the doll-season 2016 with a window display i made fot the Wiener Haarfundus! So my Barbie`s are finally on Display!
I made the Miniature-Model in its entirety, except for the furniture. I also used Rement Miniature that I bought over the years.
So my theme was a tTime-travel Story, inspired by the Retro-Future from the 50ies and 60ies to bring together the two things i love the most - Historic gowns and Scifi!

If you are in vienna come by to see them at the Wiener Haarfundus , Salesianergasse 17, 1030!

I used my favourite Rokoko-Barbies, who you already know.
The Girl with the Pastell-Pink hair is the one from my last Post, I just gave her a new hot-water-Perm and restyled her hair! There`s also a new Girl, the one with the Mint-green Hair! She used to be Barbie Basics-01 and got a Re-root in BlueSky, Turquoise and HiHoSilver, all Saran Hair from www.mylittlecustoms.com .

If you  look closely you will notice, the idea was that the two modern Girls where traveling to the Past, they got the same Facemolds on both side...

❀ Frédérique's ❀ Handkerchiefdress...

A tribute to Kikihalb ♧ Forest~Tales ♧...

When i started looking for Inspiration on Flickr! i quickly found this artist who works with Blythe! She sew's really elaborate dresses and gowns, everything by hand and everything very detailed. It's a joy to go on her Flickr!-account and i found a Tutorial, which she shared! So i sat down and made a little dress out of a Floral printed cotton handkerchief, which is the trademark of Frèdèique, for Barbie.

I hope she smiles if she might by any chance ever see this ;)

I used Renaissance fair Barbie again for this Shooting! She's the one I started with. I finally gave her a Re-root in tickled pink and snow-white, saran hair from mylittlecustoms.
I made the Roombox, the screen/paravent and the flowers after the book 'The-Big-Book-Miniature-House', by Lea Frisoni (I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in making miniature's and Roomboxes). The sidetables are orders from Ebay

Thank's for visiting!

The lost Tuorial

It all started with a plaid dress...

When I started this Blog I had a little camera with which I shot my pics. I started working with my I-phone and Hipstamatic later. About a year ago, the camera got lost. When I found it a few days ago I uploaded the pics and found this little suprise. A making of my plaid dress, the very first I ever made!

Take a look....

Watching Sharon Needles win Drag Race while sewing.

Sadly, that's all. But you can see how i place the boning and the pattern.

See you soon,

Axel
