Purple Hair
So i decided to focus on Hair and HAirstyles a little bit more and made a Hairshoothing with a styled outfit.
I had this Purple Saran hair in a dark and a light shade in my Re-root-Box for a long time now. It's just a very hard to fit haircolor. But Sweet-Tea Barbie from The Look-Collection Seemy to be perfect with her greenish eyes. She might acctually look good in a lot of Haircolor shades, i think blonde would also be nice on her.
I made another backdrop and i bought some professionel light, finally. It really makes more fun now to take pics. The Styling is by my new boyfriend. yes, a new boyfriend! And he likes Barbie and plays with me, which makes me really happy..... <3
Have nice Holidays and a happy new year everyone! See you in 2017!....

Out in the Woods
A little bit 50ies....
So summer is almost over and I was out to take pics on, what seems to be, one of the last sunshine-days.
I made this Re-roots and dresses already in May and I'm happy to finally show them.
The dresses are 50ies inspired and have little petticoats underneath. I used thin cotton Moussline from Liberty and a simple cotton fabric for the contrast that I dyed myself.
Enjoy!
I used Barbie Basics nr.14 again. This time she got a Re-root in Hazelnut with Ash-blonde Summer-Streaks.
And I got Katniss with the new Facemold. I really love her and I wanted to bring out her green eyes. So she got a Re-root in Strawberryblonde with Golden-blond Streaks.
The both got hot-water-perms and i rolled them on big XL-Straws to give them a natural movement!

Floating 70ies!
Hello Everyone!
I love doing underwater-editorials! It"s a lot of work but also fun at the same time! Since Barbie does not much but being beautiful, I have to do everything. You wont believe all the things you have to think of. First you need to find the right light. Then you need to place and pose Barbie, you need to watch out that you are not on the pic, you have to put weight on your shoulders or hips to stay underwater. And because i dont use a oxygen bottle, i have to do everything holding my breath, hoping that the diving goggles dont steam up.
I use my I-phone to take the pics. I bought a underwater-case for it which works very well. Its just a little hard to see what pic you acctually have taken because there is a lot of reflection when shooting in daylight/sun. So I never know what i got until i open the case.
But I think I got a few pretty good shoots here.
I decided to do some 70ies inspired summer-dresses. I got some nice fabric from liberty-art-fabrics ,they have great prints and very thin cotton-mousseline, ideal for miniatur-tailoring.
I was born in the 70ies, so maybe thas why i love this era so much. Flower-prints, romantic gowns, long hair and platforms may never go out of fashion. When i look at the dresses i feel like they would work today and i know a lot of girls who would wear them
Since i am a big Project Runway fan i also found a lot of inspiration in Uli Herzners flowy gowns...
Enjoy!

I used my two OOAK-girls again (find out more here) Right now i am rerooting some more girls. I think i need to do a blonde for once. I am trying to get GreenLantern-Barbie for like months now. Totally love her in blonde. We will see, she plays hard-to-get with me.
Earrings are from Topmodel-Teresa and On Location - Barcelona. Silver bracelet is from Tim Gunn, the golden ones are custom.
Hope you enjoy your summer! Have you been on Holiday yet?
Be nice to one another,
Axel

Floating 60ies!
Well, since everyone loved my Underwater-Floating fashion Editorial from last year, i decided to do much more this year. Let"s start with the 60ies, shall we?
As you know, most of my historic-corset-dresses where handsewn and took forever to make. So the thing is: I need machine-training. That"s why i wanted to go into the 20th century, with tiny steps... The dresses you see here are inspired by Vogue Pattern Nr. 7552. I bought it in the 90ies, when it was still out and me and my first boyfriend tried to sew them, but where not so successful. Now i want to redeem myself with this Editorial.
I made all the patterns fit the Pivotal/ModelMuse-Body, which was a good practise to start doing my own patterns. You know i always had them made by my tailor. But i found out that i can do more than i thought!
What can i say about the 60ies, other than i love them?! Of course there was this big Revolution-Movement, everyone started to stand up for their rights. Woman started to show legs, the hair was big an beautiful, love, peace, Beatniks and, in my opinion, there was a lot of good music.
Enjoy!

You can see my new OOAK-Girls here. Its Joan Jett, with a Re-root in a custom blend of Mocha and Brunette . And Sinatra-Barbie with a custom blend of Cognac and Stacy-Titan (everything Saran hair from mylittlecustoms.com) and I made her new lips! The boots are vintage...
And what about my new Logo? I had it made by a professional and i am very proud of it. Axel Storm is becoming a brand....
I really hope you have a great summer. We got a lot of rain so far here in Austria, but i still believe it"s gonna be hot and sunny in July!
Be nice to one another,
Axel

Corn Poppy Summer in 1785 / Robe a l'anglaise
Summer 2013 has arrived...
...and i am going back to 1785. All winter long i was sewing and crafting and finally, summer is back. I am not at all a "Winter-Person", as i said before. So you had to wait for new pictures, and i am sorry for that. But as you see, and as I hope, it was worth it. I will always keep on sewing for Barbie and post, I just dont do it regular. So thanks to all my Fans, Followers and Visitors for waiting.
What you see here is a 1780-85 inspiered Summer-Gown, made out of a cotton fabric. At these times people where reading Voltaire and had enough from the aristocratic, artificial, fussy Rococo. There was a "go back to nature"-movement in progress that lead to the french revolution in the end. Of course, living in these modern days, the fashion seems not natural to us at all. But i love the romantic feeling, the prints and more simpler patterns. At the same time the Hairstyles where bigger then ever before, but cool-people already started to lose the wigs. I was inspiered by the more "narural" Grey-white curly Hairstyles and decided to just let it down. I gave her a hot-water perm and it turned out really nice. You can also see one of my first re-roots here.
Last year i missed the time of the the corn poppy, when fields are all red red , so i planed a little better this year. And I got wind! ;)
I used "Barbie 2007" And gave her a re-root with a custom blend of HiHo-silver and Snow-White (mylittlecustoms). The Gown and jewellery are, of course, made by me.
Enjoy!
Listeng to: Franz Schubert - German Dance No. 1 in C major (Barry Lyndon Soundtrack)
So have a great summer 2013! From my side there is a lot more to come! So be curious and keep on visiting!
Love to the world.
Axel
